'Pedal Ready' for charity
New to cycling, want to do some off road cycling for the first time, returning to the recreation or thinking of starting it up and want to help a charity as well?
Now is your opportunity to participate in the most popular expanding recreational activity in the UK. We are running a series of FREE 2-3 hour informal rides for women during the spring/summer period. There is no limit on the rides you do, ideally we would like you to come on all of them.
If you do attend all of the rides you will be able to take up a special price Off Cycling are offering for a cycle maintenance course we will be running in the autumn specifically for women who took part in the Pedal Ready scheme during 2011.
Routes will be a mixture of off and on road. For off-road we will be using terrain such as byways and easy going bridleways whilst on-road will be using predominatly quiet green country lanes. All routes have been risk assessed and are considered to be safe.
At the end of the ride refreshments will be available.
Please note there are a limited number of places available for each ride.
There is no cost but you will need to sign up for the ride, see booking form.
However, as Off Cycling support the charity Child Link there is an option of donating to their cause if you wish. You will have the chance to donate any amount at the end of the ride.
Reflective jackets will be provided but you will need to bring a roadworthy bicycle and cycle helmet.
A bike check will be carried out before the start. If it is considered unworthy, then unfortunately Off Cycling will not be able to offer you a place on the ride.
You must be over 18 to participate.
